2027 Guard BJ Love Transfers to Pebblebrook, Ready to Lead Falcons' Next Championship Pursuit

Marc WilkinsJune 11, 2026

MABLETON, Ga. — One of Georgia's top backcourt prospects is making a move that could reshape the state's basketball landscape.

Class of 2027 point guard BJ Love has officially transferred from Kell High School to Pebblebrook High School, giving the Falcons one of the state's premier floor generals as they prepare for another run at a GHSA state championship.

The 6-foot guard arrives at Pebblebrook following a standout Junior campaign at Kell, where he established himself as one of Georgia's most complete lead guards. Known for his poise, leadership, and ability to control every aspect of the game, Love has earned a reputation as the type of point guard every championship-caliber program wants leading its offense.

Love's decision comes at an important time for Pebblebrook.

The Falcons graduated standout point guard Zyree Brown, who signed with Kennesaw State University, leaving behind one of the most important leadership roles on the roster. Rather than simply replacing Brown, Love now has the opportunity to guide the next chapter of one of Georgia's premier basketball programs.

His goal is clear.

He wants to help lead Pebblebrook back to another state championship run.

Love brings far more than scoring to the Falcons.

Competing on the adidas 3SSB circuit with Anthony Edwards Elite (AE5), he has consistently showcased the qualities of a true floor general. He controls tempo, makes winning plays, gets teammates involved, thrives in transition, and has the confidence to take over games when needed. Scouts have praised his basketball IQ, decision-making, toughness, and ability to score at all three levels while impacting winning on both ends of the floor.

During his time at Kell, Love averaged 14.3 points per game, earning First Team All-Region honors while establishing himself as one of the top guards in Georgia's Class of 2027. His combination of strength, pace, shot creation, and defensive intensity made him one of the most difficult matchups in the state.

Pebblebrook has become one of Georgia's perennial powers.

Pebblebrook has become one of Georgia's perennial powers, annually competing against the state's best programs and producing Division I talent. The addition of Love gives the Falcons another experienced leader capable of elevating everyone around him while embracing the expectations that come with wearing a Pebblebrook uniform.

As the offseason continues, Love's transfer stands as one of Georgia's most impactful moves in the Class of 2027. With his leadership, championship mindset, and ability to dictate the game from the point guard position, expectations will be high as he looks to help return the Falcons to the top of Georgia high school basketball.
