Tri-Cities Falls to North Oconee in Neutral-Site Battle
Tri-Cities dropped a 70-56 decision to North Oconee in a non-conference matchup at Grayson High School on January 3.
Junior guard Tre Keith carried the offense for the Bulldogs, putting up 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting. Senior forward Jalan Wingfield backed him up with 19 points and 10 rebounds, giving Tri-Cities a strong one-two punch even in the loss. North Oconee's Brayden Wise earned Player of the Game honors for the Titans.
The result dropped Tri-Cities to 3-8 on the season while North Oconee improved to 11-2. Both programs would go on to have strong finishes. North Oconee closed the year 26-4, and Tri-Cities rallied to a 17-14 record with a run to the GHSA AAAAA Final Four before falling to Alexander.
Performances like Keith and Wingfield's are exactly the kind of moments that build a recruiting profile.
