Nick Anderson Jr. Erupts for 39 Points in Team Thad Nation's EYCL Opener

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Class of 2028 standout Nick Anderson Jr. wasted no time making his presence felt at Nike EYCL Session IV, delivering one of the tournament's most explosive individual performances with 39 points and 9 rebounds in Team Thad Nation's opening game against UNRNKD Hoops.

Despite Anderson's incredible offensive outing, Team Thad Nation came up just short, falling 66-65 in a hard-fought battle Wednesday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The dynamic guard showcased his complete offensive arsenal, finishing 13-of-22 from the field, connecting on 6-of-9 from three-point range, and converting 7-of-9 free throws while nearly willing Team Thad Nation to victory.

Competing in the Nike EYCL 16U Division, Anderson accounted for 60 percent of Team Thad Nation's offense, consistently creating scoring opportunities from all three levels while displaying the confidence and shot-making ability that continue to elevate his national profile.

Known for his ability to score in a variety of ways, Anderson mixed deep perimeter shooting with aggressive drives to the basket, while also making winning plays throughout the contest. His efficiency against one of the top grassroots programs in the country further demonstrated why he continues to emerge as one of the premier prospects in the Class of 2028.

Although Team Thad Nation came up one point short, Anderson's performance was one of the standout individual efforts on the opening day of Nike EYCL Session IV and immediately put the basketball world on notice.

Team Thad Nation's schedule in Las Vegas continues with matchups against FOH Seattle, Grassroots Elite, and MOKAN Spurs as Anderson looks to build on his remarkable opening performance and help his team climb the EYCL standings.
