Metro Atlanta Trio Earns Invitations to Prestigious Mamba League Invitational
Metro Atlanta will be well represented on one of high school basketball's biggest stages after Chase Lumpkin (McEachern High School), Asa Montgomery (Hillgrove High School), and AJ Williams (Eagle's Landing Christian Academy) earned invitations to the 2026 Mamba League Invitational, taking place August 23 and 24th in Los Angeles. The invitation-only event annually features many of the nation's top high school prospects, providing an opportunity to compete against elite talent while performing in front of college coaches, NBA scouts, and national media.
Chase Lumpkin continues to solidify himself as one of Georgia's premier prospects. The McEachern standout has built a reputation for his versatility, toughness, and ability to impact winning on both ends of the floor. His invitation to the Mamba League Invitational is another milestone in what has been an impressive rise on the national recruiting scene.
Asa Montgomery, who stars at Hillgrove High School, arrives with tremendous momentum after helping Team USA capture the 2026 FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup gold medal. Montgomery's combination of size, athleticism, defensive versatility, and offensive upside has made him one of the country's most coveted prospects. The Mamba League Invitational gives him another opportunity to showcase his game against many of the nation's elite players.
Rounding out the group is AJ Williams of Eagle's Landing Christian Academy (ELCA). Widely regarded as the No. 1 player in the Class of 2028, Williams has already established himself as one of the brightest young stars in the country. This summer, he captured his second consecutive FIBA gold medal with Team USA, further cementing his status as one of the nation's top rising prospects. At 6-foot-7, Williams combines elite scoring ability, positional versatility, and a mature all-around game that has already attracted attention from many of college basketball's blue blood programs.
With Lumpkin, Montgomery, and Williams all receiving invitations, Metro Atlanta once again proves why it remains one of the nation's premier producers of high school basketball talent. Their selections not only recognize individual excellence but also highlight the depth of talent coming out of Georgia as they prepare to compete alongside the country's best at the 2026 Mamba League Invitational.
