One of the nation's top point guards has found his future home.

Kevin Savage III, the highly sought-after Class of 2027 four-star point guard from Wheeler High School, has officially committed to Purdue University, giving the Boilermakers one of the most coveted guards in the country.

Savage's commitment brings an end to one of the most closely followed recruitments in Georgia high school basketball. Throughout the recruiting process, he established himself as one of the nation's elite lead guards, earning recognition for his poise, court vision, basketball IQ, and ability to consistently make winning plays against top competition.

Standing out for far more than his scoring ability, Savage has developed into a complete floor general. His ability to create offense, facilitate for teammates, defend opposing guards, and control the tempo of the game has made him one of the premier point guards in the 2027 recruiting class.

In addition to starring at Wheeler High School, Savage has been a key contributor for Game Elite, one of the nation's premier AAU basketball programs. Last season, Game Elite captured a national championship, with Savage playing an important role throughout the run against many of the country's top prospects. His success on both the high school and grassroots circuits has only strengthened his reputation as one of the most accomplished guards in the country.

Purdue's tradition of developing elite guards and consistently competing for championships made the Boilermakers an ideal fit. By securing Savage's commitment, Purdue adds a proven winner, an exceptional leader, and one of the nation's most complete point guards to its future roster.

Although his recruitment has officially come to a close, Savage's high school career still has one important chapter remaining.

The upcoming senior will return to Wheeler High School looking to lead the Wildcats in pursuit of another state championship before beginning his collegiate career at Purdue. With his college decision behind him, all focus now shifts toward one final season in one of the nation's premier high school basketball programs.

For Purdue, the future just got brighter.

For Wheeler, the mission isn't finished.

And for Kevin Savage III, the next chapter is officially written.
