One of Georgia's most productive running backs is ready to make the biggest decision of his football career.

Jayden Johnson, the standout Class of 2027 running back from Stephenson High School, will announce his college commitment on Monday, July 7, at 5:00 p.m. at Stephenson High School, bringing one of the state's most closely watched recruitments to a close.

The 5-foot-9, 200-pound three-star prospect enters Decision Day with an impressive list of 15 Division I scholarship offers, including Georgia State, Kennesaw State, Appalachian State, Troy, Liberty, UAB, FIU, Georgia Southern, Middle Tennessee, Mercer, Samford, Furman, ETSU, Austin Peay, and Bryant.

Johnson's recruitment has been fueled by a combination of production, toughness, and consistency. Throughout his career at Stephenson, he has established himself as one of the most explosive offensive weapons in Georgia, displaying a powerful running style, excellent vision, and the ability to create explosive plays between the tackles and in the open field.

Beyond his college decision, Johnson enters his senior season with another milestone within reach. He is 1,360 rushing yards away from breaking DeKalb County's all-time career rushing record, currently held by former Georgia Tech standout Roddy Jones. Achieving that mark would place Johnson among the greatest running backs in county history.

College programs have been drawn to Johnson's physical running style, balance through contact, and ability to consistently produce against high-level competition. His combination of power, patience, and acceleration has made him one of the premier running backs in Georgia's 2027 class.
